Beaujolais Nouveau Day!

La Beaujolais Nouveau est arrive! The freshest wine and the first release from France for this year’s vintage has arrived! Check out this carbonic joy that is just waiting to be enjoyed!
Beaujolais Nouveau is a wine made with the Gamay grape in the Southern part of Burgundy. It undergoes a fermentation process called Carbonic Maceration. The grapes are harvested as whole clusters and placed into a tank pressurized with CO2. The grapes begin to ferment within their own skins and start to swell from the CO2 given off from the intracellular fermentation. The grapes burst open and the final wine product shows vibrant aromas of ripe red fruits, candied raspberry and sometimes bubble gum and banana. Traditionally a celebration of the end of a harvest, Beaujolais Nouveau is a fun, fresh wine to brighten up your weekday!
