Wine + Music with Matt: The Playlists, Volume 1

Today, I’m using music and wine to reflect on a recent getaway to the southwest and southern California.  I was born and raised on the east coast, so the overall vibe and pace of things out west has always befuddled me.  As I get older though, I’ve been more conscious of slowing down and taking in my environment. It strikes me now that maybe there is more of this country’s natural beauty between Santa Fe and Palm Springs, so one has no choice but to be in constant awe of the landscape – great, wide, and rugged. As much as I love Baltimore, the city streets just don’t offer the same picturesque view.

Music and wine have always been great markers of time and place for me.  I may not remember the day, time, or everyone in the room, but I will almost definitely remember the music playing and the wine being poured.  This playlist is an auditory representation of this particular moment in time, celebrating my birthday and kicking off another year with the people and wines I love most!

Stop by the store to see the wines that made the trip so great!
